This custom Damascus Gut hook hunting knife has a Rockwell rating of 58-60 & is made of the following steel layers
(4) layers of 5160 oil hardening high carbon,
(3) layers 203E low carbon nickel steel,
(3) layers of 52100,
(3) layers of 15N20.
The steel is forged out and folded 5 times to give you 416 layers. The different steels are hand forged in Alabama USA to present a unique pattern in every blade.

The knife features a Gut hook which any hunter will appreciate.

This knife has a very rare Red Amboyna burl handle which has been professionally stabilized so the wood will never move over time or absorb moisture when being used. It has been sanded to 400grit and finished with a durable oil. The handle has been epoxied and bolted together using stainless steel bolts and brass bushings as well as a mosaic pin.

Every blade I produce is made with a unique specially selected wooden handle. All of my handles are made of highly figured and exotic woods which I personally select, and craft by hand.

Please note, Damascus knives are not stainless, they should not be left in water. Always wash your knife with hot water and dry after use. Oil or wax the blade every month if used regularly, oil lightly before storing or displaying. This item will be shipped with a light layer of beeswax on the blade to prevent water damage during shipping.

This knife comes with a custom leather sheath which will take 1 week to produce after the date you purchase the knife
