Refunds and Exchanges

Returns are accepted without question, with or without receipt, within 45 days of purchase. Because our items are serial numbered, we can accept returns without receipt as we have recorded the purchase information. Please contact customer service to obtain authorization before shipping product back. Products must be returned in original packaging.

Additional Policies and FAQs

Macklin & Co. branded knives and cutlery products are warranted for the lifetime of the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. In the unlikely event that one of our knives should fail or defects appear under normal use, we will repair or replace it free of charge during the life of the original owner. Should you own one of our knives that is out of warranty, and that is in need of repair, we can often make the repair at an attractive price.

Kikuichi offers a life time warranty on their products as well.

All of our other products are warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Although our knives are made to last, there are some things you can do to ensure they will look and perform at their best. Knives should be hand washed, and never, ever put them in the dishwasher. The heat is not good for the handles and particulates in the dishwasher can chip the fine edge of the blade. Once washed the knives can be air dried, or if you are careful, dried with a kitchen towel. We sell a care kit that will keep the handle looking good with regular use. Otherwise you can use mineral oil once in a while on the handle.
